I am deeply saddened by the loss of Pastor, as I always called him. His passing has left a void that is hard to put into words. I truly believe that when we lose someone close to us—a father, husband, brother, pastor, and dear friend, as he was to so many— he continues to live on through us. His strength, love, and kindness remain within us, and in many ways, he has become a part of who we are.

I still remember the first day I truly met him. He opened his home and family to me without hesitation, showing a level of love and kindness that takes a very special person. Every fibre of his being was filled with unconditional love—he gave of himself so freely, without reservation or question. He was a beautiful example of what it means to love wholeheartedly, and his legacy of compassion, selflessness and generosity will live on through all of us who were lucky enough to know him.

May his soul rest in peace. I know there are no words that can ease your pain. Just know that I’ll always be here for you guys no matter what.
